A Little More About Me
Hi again! I hope you had a chance to read my story on the homepage but here I'll share with you a little more about me. Besides my passion for helping women who are struggling with anxiety and weight loss, I am a wife and mother. As a mom who has struggled myself with weight gain and mental health issues, I get it. While I struggled with anxiety and panic attacks since my teen years, they increased after my first child was born. Holy post-partum hormones! I was not prepared no matter what anyone could have told me. Along with anxiety, I also found my weight rising. I felt like I was hanging on by a thread to not go over the cliff of full blown panic most days. Throw in taking care of a new born and the last thing I was thinking about was taking care of myself. In hindsight, this was the first thing I should have been thinking of! And when I finally began doing this good things started to happen.
As I found myself spending more and more free time looking into diet and lifestyle approaches for health concerns I began to wonder if there was a career where I could help others on their own journey. I went on to attend the Functional Nutrition Alliance led by Andrea Nakayama, one of the leading Functional Medicine Nutritionist in the country, and graduated with a certificate as a Functional Nutrition Counselor (FNC). I wasn't done there though. I decided to further my education and take the opportunity to be a part of a limited mentorship hosted by Andrea and her nutrition team and I am in the process of completing that and receiving certification as a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner (FNLP).
During my schooling to become a FNC I became certified through Yoga Teachers College as a Breathing Coach. Bringing these two practices together has been life changing for me and I want to share that with you!
We are all unique and our WHOLE story matters. I'm Sarrah, who is a busy mom of 3, a wife, a business owner. I'm Sarrah, who if I don't get enough sleep my anxiety starts to creep in more quickly, who if I eat excessive sugar I experience heart palpitations. I am Sarrah. I am more than any statistic or symptom or diagnosis and so are you.
I believe we all want to be seen for who we are. I want to see you as the person you are. The stories, life experiences, foods, and genetics that have led you to this moment in time. Let's take this journey together one step at a time.
Let's CONNECT and see what healing possibilities are in store for you.
